ICMAB celebrated 53rd Independence Day

Corporate Desk: The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organized a webinar on celebrating the 53rd Independence and National Day at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, and festively decorated its premises.

Ekushe Padak winner Sociologist Prof. Dr. Anupam Sen, Vice Chancellor of Premier University, Chittagong, was the Chief Guest of the program, while Mr. Waliul Islam, Chairman, Board of Directors, SMC Enterprises Ltd., was the Special Guest. Past President of ICMAB & Council Member Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed FCMA, Treasurer, University of Dhaka, was the discussant of the Webinar.

President of ICMAB, Prof. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCMA, Remembered the Father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Heroic Freedom Fighter, War Heroines, Martyrs of August 15 and four national leaders with deep respect whose sacrifice made this country exist.

Prof. Dr. Anupam Sen eloquently pointed out the various forms of discrimination that the East Pakistanis faced from the West Pakistanis. He passionately called upon everyone to devote themselves to the betterment of this country, inspired by the ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Mr. Waliul Islam shared his experiences from the war when he was a civil servant in then-West Pakistan.

Mr. Naba Krishna Muni FCMA, Project Management Consultant for the EVM Project at the Bangladesh Election Commission, conducted the Webinar. The immediate Past President of ICMAB, Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, welcomed all the guests on this special day. Vice-president Mr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman FCMA thanked all the participants for their patience.

Among others, the Vice President of ICMAB, Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA; Treasurer, Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA; Past President, Mr. Mohammed Salim FCMA; Council Member, Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, and respected fellow and associate members of ICMAB made this event successful. All the participants agreed to uplift the CMA profession for the industrial development of this country.
