ICMAB has Organized a Training Targeting the GRI Professional Certification

Corporate Desk: The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has organized a unique learning opportunity for the CMA professionals to cultivate a cadre of specialists proficient in sustainability reporting, in collaboration with GRI Academy, on March 8, 2024 (Friday) at the Robi Innovation Lab of ICMAB from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. The training entitled “A Beginners Guide to Sustainability Reporting and GRI Content Index Course” is a foundational step towards preparing participants for the GRI Professional Certification Courses. Upon completion, the trained professionals will be equipped to serve as trainers in sustainability reporting and contribute to sustainability auditing processes. This initiative aimed to enhance CMA members’ professional skill sets, aligning them with the evolving reporting landscape.

Dr. Aditi Halder, Director of GRI, South Asia Region, and a Sustainable Development Advocate for
over 27 years, conducted the daylong session. President of ICMAB, Prof. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCMA, thanked the participants for their interest as a knowledge seeker in contemporary areas like sustainable reporting. He also thanked Dr. Aditi Halder for her patience while at ICMAB. Participants are engaged in a series of knowledge checks at the end of each section, culminating in the award of a certificate by GRI Academy and ICMAB upon successful completion of all assessments.

Salim FCMA, Treasurer Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA, and Council Member Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA were present at the event.
